PREORDERS
HOW DO PREORDERS WORK?
All preorders are made to order. Once purchased online, your item is hand built in our Sydney studio. As the product image shown is indicative only, we will send you a photo and video of your item at greenware or bisque stage. This is prior to your item going into its first kiln fire. It will give you a good indication of how your item looks. Once you give the ok, we your item will go into its first kiln fire, then get glazed and into its final glaze fire. This process takes from 2 to 4 weeks - we will keep you updated on progress via SMS or email.
Some items can be glazed in various colours and we will give you this option at greenware or bisque stage.
HOW LONG DO PREORDERS TAKE?
Preorders will take between 2 to 4 weeks. We will notify you of where your preorder is at via SMS and email.
CAN I PICK UP MY PREORDER?
If you are based in Sydney, choose Botany Studio pickup. You can arrange a time to pickup your order via emailing hello@alldayclay.com.au
PRODUCT INFORMATION
WHERE ARE YOUR CERAMICS MADE?
All our ceramics are made locally in Sydney by hand, one-by-one. They are crafted individually so that each form is unique. No two pieces are the same.
WHAT MATERIAL ARE YOUR CERAMICS MADE WITH?
All our ceramics are made using stoneware. Stoneware is extremely strong, but not indestructible. If dropped, it will break or smash or hopefully bounce back with no damage!
Our glazed ceramics are food-safe, dishwasher-friendly and can be used in the oven or microwave.
Our vessels and vases are water-tight and can happily hold all your florals - fresh or fake!
All our bases are sanded smooth. However as stoneware has some grit in the clay body, it is best to use a coaster or felt base under our items to prevent scratches or marks to surfaces.
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO CLEAN MY CERAMICS?
Our ceramics can be put in the dishwasher or hand washed.
CAN MY CERAMICS SCRATCH OR DAMAGE SURFACES?
The clay we use has a small amount of grit in the clay so can scratch surfaces. Each piece is hand sanded to smooth off the bases. However, we recommend using a small coaster or felt pad to prevent damaging or scratching surfaces.
DO YOU MAKE CUSTOM ORDERS OR COLLABORATE?
Yes we do! Clay-collaborating and custom orders are our jam. Just get in touch and we'll give you the low-down on the process.
CAN I VIEW YOUR CERAMICS IN PERSON?
We can arrange a preview of products before purchase at our studio located at Claypool
in Botany, simply contact us to arrange a suitable date and time.
DO YOU LOAN YOUR CERAMICS FOR PHOTOSHOOTS?
We definitely do. Interior designers, stylist and publications can borrow a range of products to use on photoshoots or editorial features.
We have a range of ceramics available for viewing, we have larger pieces that may not appear online.
All ceramics can be loaned for 7 days.
PAYMENT & SHIPPING
WHERE ARE YOUR CERAMICS SHIPPED FROM?
All our ceramics are shipped from our Sydney studio. Once your order is received we carefully hand pack the ceramics to ensure they arrive safely.
HOW MUCH IS SHIPPING?
Orders under $150 are shipped at a flat rate of $15 Australia-wide by registered courier.
Orders over $150 are shipped FREE of charge by registered courier.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?
Once your order is received, we hand pack the ceramics and order the courier. The courier picks up the following day and generally takes 2 to 4 days to arrive for most Australian capital cities.
Interstate and regional areas can take from 4 to 8 days depending on location.
You will receive a tracking number of the courier, where you can see updates on your order.
CAN I PICK UP MY ORDER?
Yes, pick up of your order is possible. Select FREE PICKUP at checkout. Orders can be collected from our Sydney studio located at Claypool in Botany. It is best to contact us to arrange a pick up day and time.
HOW DO YOU PACKAGE YOUR CERAMICS?
We care about our environmental footprint, all our ceramics are packaged with care using recycled materials.
DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
Get in touch via our contact form for international shipping rates and timeframes.
We hand pack our ceramics and often pack a box within another box to ensure your items arrive safely. This may make your parcel quite large and affect courier cost.
RETURNS POLICY
DO YOU ACCEPT RETURNS?
As a small business that makes in a slow and sustainable manner, please purchase mindfully as we do not accept returns, except in the unlikely event of damaged items.
Please, contact us within 5 business days of receiving your order with images to support your claim.
You, as a customer, are obliged to inform us via email before you return the item, only in the case of:
~ You have received the wrong product.
~ The product arrived not as expected, damaged as a result of transport.
~ The product had defects that are not evident in photos shown on website or detailed in the product description.
